A second door to clients: Passport Exchange

Every Single Consumer & SME Client On The Platforms Joined To Reclaim Funds.

Passport holders also work with accountants, solicitors and insolvency practitioners on the other Wolf pillars. When any of them wants financial advice, they can authorise an exchange of their Passport to an advice firm they choose. A seat puts your firm among the firms they can choose.

SME holder counts are REPORTED from the live platform. Consumer holders are not counted here. Fees use the FCA's reported typical client of £250,000 assets under advice and £2,000 revenue a year (FCA 2025 advice market survey), and the FCA reported average charges of 2.4% for initial advice and 0.8% a year ongoing: 2.4% of £250,000 is £6,000 initial, 0.8% is £2,000 ongoing. Applying those charges to a new client is a WOLF ASSESSMENT. Change either fee to your own charging.

Questions from compliance officers

Who decides which firms the holder sees?

Every firm holding a seat in the holder's postcode area is shown, up to the seats that area carries. Wolf applies no ranking, scoring or matching between firms, and what a firm pays does not change who is shown. The holder alone decides.

How is the order of firms set?

Firms appear in a neutral order that varies between holders. No position is bought and no firm holds a permanent place at the top.

What does Wolf get paid for?

Infrastructure only: the build setup and the monthly fee for each postcode area. Nothing Wolf is paid depends on any hand raise, engagement, product, fee or recovery, so no payment from your firm to Wolf is linked to any client.

Does Wolf advise the holder or influence product choice?

No. Nothing on the platform gives financial advice, recommends a firm or influences any product decision. All advice sits with the authorised firm the holder chooses.

How is a firm checked before it takes a seat?

At checkout the firm enters its FCA Firm Reference Number. It is checked against the live FCA Financial Services Register, and a seat order can only be placed by a firm shown as Authorised with at least one advising permission. Appointed representatives order under their principal firm's FRN.

Who holds the client relationship?

The firm the holder engages. The holder selects the firm and sends their own file. Firms run their own client due diligence, suitability and client agreements, and retain sole conduct of every engagement.

What data reaches the firm, and on what basis?

Only the file the holder chooses to send, to the firm the holder names, on the holder's own instruction. Contact consent and transmission authority are captured as two separate, dated acts, and the transfer is recorded field by field.

What if a holder has a claim against an advice firm?

A seated firm never receives the file of a holder whose claim is against that same firm. The claim stays in the holder's own Passport account.

What about clients in financial difficulty?

The holder can open the debt and insolvency tab in their own Passport and choose a licensed insolvency practitioner seated in their area. Nothing is paid for that in either direction.
